Essential Oils

Essential oils are compounds extracted from various parts of the plants, including roots, bark, leaves, flowers and fruits. The oils capture the plant's scent and flavour and thus its "essence." Unique aromatic compounds give each essential oil its characteristic essence. Essential oils are obtained through distillation (via steam) or mechanical methods, such as cold pressing.
